First Step

Kate took her first steps today! Hooray! She's been standing pretty well on her own for the past couple of days, usually without even realizing she was standing, but somehow today, she intentionally stood up and tried to reach for a toy. It was just out of her grasp and I could tell she was feeling ambitious...she kept lifting her feet off the ground then putting it back down until she finally took not one, but two steps to the toy. I hugged her immediately, lifting her off her feet.

Because Kate took her first steps today, I'm deciding to take my first steps as well and start using Schwinn. I will be weighed tonight and then weigh myself again in one week and report my progress. Wish me and Kate luck.
