Child Labor

Today is my mom's 59th birthday. I've been thinking about how laid back my mom has always been about my sister and I doing chores around the house...compared to our friends, of course. We weren't asked to do more than put our clothes in the laundry basket or make rice once in awhile. Especially at Ellie's age, I don't remember being asked to do much except to smile for the camera, and that was a huge chore for me cuz I hated hated hated taking pictures when I was young. So for that, I am truly thankful to have a mom such as mine.

So with those thoughts, I put Ellie to work this morning.
