I'm It

Guess who's sick again? That's right, me. What Ellie had was obviously different than what Kate had. Besides the aches and pain, I think every Mom wishes they could take away their child's illness. I have literally done that, I just wish it wasn't back to back.

This time Jae has been taking great care of me. Not only did he learn from last week's lesson, but I think he desparately wants me to get back on my feet so he could get some quality sleep. I don't think it would be so bad if Ellie wasn't so irratable. We fear the day she encounters PMS!

Please please please pray for us.

Tag, You're It!

Ellie's got the bug. God help us all!

Will Jae out chase the bug or will he be It? This virus seems to get worse as it travels.

Kate's bug

I'm sick.

I've caught whatever Kate had, but this little bugger took its toll on me. Kate was all smiles even after her vomiting spells, as for me, my stomach felt like it was being torn inside out for 24 hours straight. Even when there was nothing to vomit, I wanted to vomit. Labor could not be worse!

Still recovering from lack of nourishment, my head is a bobble and feeling quite dizzy. The chills and muscle aches are gone though. I only pray to my Sweet Sweet Jesus that Ellie does not catch this virus next! For if she does, there will be no end!

Evil Mom

Ellie decided to join me on an excursion to Walgreens today. It was a bit rainy today so I opened up an umbrella, walked Ellie to her car seat and propped the umbrella half on the roof of the car and the other half on the car door so I could buckle Ellie into her seat without both of us getting wet. Ellie became amazed. You should have seen the look on her face. She couldn't understand what was holding the umbrella in place, so I jokingly said, "I have magical powers!" Then Ellie said in a cartoonish-villianish way, "Of evil! Ha! Ha! Ha!"

"Hey! Mommy's not evil!"
"Ha! Ha! Ha!." (again, in that sinister voice)

Is this what kids think of their Moms?

How To

So I just noticed that Google has a "How To" of the day section (thanks to Wiki).

How to Use Measuring Cups and Spoons

How to Look Approachable

I'm not sure which I could benefit more from. Ha ha ha. Both were pretty funny.

Grocery Ethics

I was at the grocery store with Ellie to pick up a few items and as I rolled into the soda/chip aisle, the corner of my cart accidentally knocked 2 glass bottles of Snapple onto the floor, one of them rolling to the next aisle, the other smashed into pieces. It made a huge mess. I can only image how horrified I looked cuz Ellie started consoling me, "It's okay Mom. It's okay." How sweet is she? Okay, do I keep rolling along the aisle or should I tell someone? Tell someone. I found the nearest check-out attendant and told her I knocked over some bottles and made a mess in the soda aisle. She glanced at the aisle then yelled into the speaker, "Clean-up in aisle 7-A!", then turned her back on me. Sheesh! Embarrassing.

It was finally time to check out, only I ended up in the 15 items or less lane. I wouldn't have even noticed if the couple behind me hadn't asked me if I was standing in the express lane. I told them it was 15 items or less (it looked like they had about 20 items). Discouraged, they headed towards the longer lanes. I looked in my own cart and realized I had 17 items. What should I do? I decided to put back 2 bag of chips. Darn it. I'll have to go back for those spicy popcorns.

Overall, I felt pretty proud of myself. I'm glad I was able to show a bit of integrity in front of my daughter at the grocery store. Hopefully, I have set a good example.

On a completely unrelated topic, Mariano Rivera blew another save and is balding to boot! I didn't realize how ugly pitchers look (Pettitte) without their baseball hats. This makes me think I should wear a baseball hat permantly. It may improve my appearance and demeanor. Anyways, it's become frustruating to watch Yankees play...dumb calls by blind 2nd base umpires cost Yankees their lead in the 8th inning. I could almost taste victory.

The Warden goes to Little Gym

I'm still alive folks. Tired, but alive.

I went to Little Gym today with Ellie as promised. All went well.
