Ellie's new dew

Ellie's first major haircut was a success...kind of. It took all of 2 hours to cut her hair. She kept moving around and every once in awhile, she'd stare at the scissors and watch 2 inches of hair fall to my shirt and say, "mommy's hair". I think she would have flipped if she knew it was really hers. But I have to say, she looks so much more grown up...like a real 2 year old.

On a sadder note, my sister colored my hair Sunday night. Monday morning, the first thing Ellie said to me was, "Mommy hair orange!" I was tempted to post a picture of my hair, but concluded I was just too ugly for viewing.

so, on top of being the best dressed 2-year old, she's got a fabulous haircut. such a beauty. and, i'm sure your hair is fine. it's probably just a big change from before. and, even if it is orange, how cool is that? you're such a hip mom.

Nice cut! She looks so chic!!

Orangey is fun and oh so fall! but if the color doesn't grow on you, check out Charles Ifergan's workshop. The workshop is a training program for new hires. They're experienced but they need to be trained the Charles Ifergan way. I stopped going cuz the waiting got frustrating but they're good. 312.642.4484 - call them on Tuesday mornings as close to 10 am as possible. Be warned that appointment times are limited. Not sure if that works for a mommy but thought I'd suggest it...

oops! make that 312.640.7444. the other # is for appointments with the regular salon. oh, and i think that colors with the workshop is $15 or $20 - cash.

So adorable! Only 2 hours - huh? At least you can cut hair. If I had tried poor Ellie maybe bald. Ask your sister, I cannot cut hair.

oh, she's so adorable! do you think if i cut cadence's hair (what she has of it), it'll grow back quicker and thicker? i don't want to make her any more bald than she is already...

ellie looks so tall for a 2 year old! maybe it's the long hair...i just can't believe my little girl is gonna be that big in just another year...or that she'll have a hair length that'll indicate she's a girl...

going along with cazile's comments, if you're looking for designer hair styles on the cheap, maybe look into Tricoci University near my work (Harlem&Foster area)...just a thought.
